Kinetics - Beauthy in Motion

My name is Olga Semjonova. I live and work in London. I enjoy spending part of my working week at beauty salon Nyumba. This is a celebrity stop-off salon in Mayfair the beautiful part of London. I ‘m happy to work with my customers who are most famous people such as: Elizabeth Murdoch (business executive in the British television industry), Pierre De Labouchere (President and Chief Executive of JTI), Blanka Brillembour (mother of Tatyana Blatnik wife of Prince Nikolaos), Kim Hersov (editor at Harper's Bazaar), Eve Pollard (journalist, editor of a British national newspapers, writer, actress and mother to TV presenter Claudia Winkleman), Claudia Winkleman (TV presenter, radio personality, journalist), fashion: Avi Nissani, Ceilia Kritharioti Tsakos, Raichel Stevens, designer Tara Bernard. Also I'm personal Laura's Whitmore (MTV star) nail stylist.

I spend the rest of my time teaching students at the Margarita Belska Nail School where I also conduct seminars and master classes for all those who wish to improve their professional skills.

From time to time I take part in at beauty exhibitions, and I also work at jewelry and fashion events. At London Fashion Week I had made models' nails for Vivienne Westwood, Marios Schwabb, Jeremy Scott and House of Holland shows.

In April 2009 I became Kinetics Professional Nail Systems instructor. But my story as a nail technician started long time ago.

In my native country Latvia I worked as a Russian language and literature teacher after graduating Pedagogical University and worked at a secondary school. But I had always been interested in the beauty business; I liked taking care of my hands and always dreamt of having my own beauty salon. So in 1993 I completed my first Nail Esthetics's course and a year later I opened my own nail salon. Later it turned into a prestigious place where several highly qualified nail technicians worked alongside me.

To me, the nail technician profession was more than a job; it became a lifestyle for me. I enjoyed spending all my time at the salon with my clients. I attended every course and master- class I could to learn new techniques and about nail professional products.

In 1998 I became a nail instructor and set up a nail school adjoining my salon. My experience as a former teacher came in handy.

A few years later The Latvian Nail Association and The Latvian Ministry of Education conferred the title of Nail Expert upon me. To inspect and examine the Nail schools became one more additional job for me.

In 2002 I was invited to become a member of the international judging team in Latvian National Nail Competitions.

Nail Art is yet another area in the nail specialist's field where everyone can demonstrate their talent! Painting has been a hobby of since childhood. I'm an artist and this is another side of my life.

I cannot imagine myself without a canvas and oil paints! It's exciting to combine my favorite work with my favorite pastime! It's inspiring to create unique works of art – miniatures on people's fingertips!

I love my profession not only because it has become my calling, but also because it has presented me with opportunity to meet interesting people and make good friends. Some of my clients have become my close friends outside of work.
